Description
There are two ways to create a CSC account: as a self-service using your home organisation credentials or with the help of the CSC service desk.
Tutorial
The singular option for a person coming from a Finnish higher education institute is to use the Haka service. You can continue with the tutorial: Log in to MyCSC service for the first time using Haka.
Account creation is initiated when you try to log in to CSC services for the first time.
With self-service account creation, authentication comes from your home organisation. The user is then asked to fill in the rest of the CSC profile information.
Self-service is available for Haka and Virtu
.
Warning
Other login methods than Haka are not handled in detail by these web pages.
Assisted account creation is available for CSC and Life Science
login.
Info
For assisted account creation, the user's identity is verified by our service desk. Account creation can be initiated by sending an email to servicedesk@csc.fi or by using the Life Science login for those who have one.
Once you have a CSC account, you can use it , or the home organisation account associated with it
, to log in to CSC Services.
Inviting members
Members are added to the project via their CSC account.
Tutorial
Here are related tutorials: Create an invitation link to a MyCSC Project and Manage members of a MyCSC Project.
A Project Manager can invite other members to join the project. If possible members already have a CSC account and are from the same organisation as the Project Manager, they can invite them to the project by them self.
Anyone (some restrictions may apply, but in general Finnish students and teachers of HEIs) can join to the project with an invitation link. If they don't have a CSC account, they will be asked to create one.
