Create a student project in MyCSC

This tutorial will show you the steps to create a student project in MyCSC service.

Prerequisites

1. A student affiliation with a Finnish University or University of Applied Sciences. (not available to staff or faculty members)
2. A successful login to MyCSC service.

Procedure

Log in to the MyCSC service. Select Projects from the left hand menu and click on the '+ New project` button at the top right of the page.

Note

Please note, that you can only have one active project at a time.

Tip

Here is an example student project created for a Cosmic Code course.

Enter a name for the project (e.g. the name of the course) .

Give a short description of the project. This can be copied from the Study Guide .

Finally, enter the end date of the project . A good end date for the project is the end date of the course plus an extra week "just in case".

Choose the field of science and sub science area of the course. Don't worry if you don't get this exactly right - this is for statistics.

Read them and agree to continue.
