Description
MyCSC service helps us to report the usage of our services to the Ministry of Education and Culture. The Ministry funds the free use1 of services for higher education institutions.
To ensure that the reports are accurate, they need to be measured by verified users and institutions. So MyCSC is accessed via an authorised login.
Tutorial
The singular log in option for a person coming from a Finnish higher education institute is to use the Haka service. You can continue with the tutorial: Log in to MyCSC service for the first time using Haka.
For students and teachers, the MyCSC service is a channel to create new projects and end unnecessary ones. Inside a project you can track your resource usage, add services and other users as members to your project.
Resource usage is measured in billing units. Despite the name, educational use is free. Although the name is good in the sense that whenever billing units are consumed, they represent a resource used.
CSC Cloud Services are a shared resource and it is a good practice to monitor your usage and avoid unnecessary reservations.
